Review: Renewed, by Harper Miller

Blurb:

cover-harpermiller-renewedI was hurt. I was heartbroken. I felt abandoned and emotionally drained.

Sometimes heartache can open new doors.

Of course, names have been changed to protect all parties involved, but this is my story.

*Disclaimer* This is a novelette. Not a short story, novella, or novel. Content is intended for a mature audience, 18+.

Renewed is the second installment in The Kinky Connect Chronicles. The Kinky Connect Chronicles are short erotic stories/novelettes all wrapped up in neat little bows. These stories are stand-alones. No cliffhangers in the lot!

Review:

Quick, before my review. We’re gonna be seeing a lot of Harper Miller around here for the next couple of weeks (and hopefully longer!). Counting this review, there’s one more before I review an ARC of her upcoming new release Complexity, AND I’ll be hosting her again on her Blog Tour. Stick around, drop in, follow along…all that stuff because exciting things are HAPPENING on the back porch.

For short stories, Harper sure packs a punch without feeling rushed. It is so rare that I feel like I get a complete story in something so short. Harper has done it twice now in this series. Of course, I want more because I’m a greedy reader, but it’s not because anything is lacking…just that I’m not quite ready to go.

Tanya and Kenji meet on the Kinky Connect site and form quick, mostly innocent, bond in their anonymity. They become online friends and confidants first, which I thought was spectacular in its normalcy. It was absolutely what was necessary for Tanya after she booted her cheating husband. Then, the stars align, and she and Kenji meet, and…I’m surprised they didn’t burn down the building.

Renewed is a fresh start, taking a chance, trying something new, reclaiming one’s self after everything falls apart.

It’s also quick, dirty, kinky romp, and hot as hell.
