Tony Hart’s life has been quiet lately. He has good friends and a rewarding teaching job. Then the murdered body of another teacher falls into the elevator at his feet, and Tony’s life gets a little too exciting.
Jared MacLean is a homicide detective, a widowed father, and deeply in the closet. But from the moment he meets Tony’s blue eyes in that high school hallway, Mac can’t help wanting this man in his life. However Mac isn’t the only one with his eyes on Tony. As the murderer tries to cover his tracks, Mac has to work fast or lose Tony, permanently.

Review:
Pretty gripping start to a new series. Loved Tony – little slutty, a little twink-ish, smart, sexy and endearing – all juxtaposed with the rough, macho, deeply closeted, equally lovable and sex-on-a-stick Mac. I loved their connection. I loved how Tony had a clear picture of what Mac needed.
I’m looking forward to continuing the series.

A short review… I wish I’d elaborated more after I read this. But, I’m not sure a whole lot more needs to be said. I love romances that build unconventional families–this begins that journey in a beautiful way. I immediately read the rest of the books in the series and didn’t regret a single word.
Happy Friday! Thanks for stopping by.

Yay! I love Kaje Harper. “The Rebuilding Year” and “Life, Some Assembly Required” are also some of my favorites.
