Hi everyone and HAPPY FRIDAY! I don’t know about y’all but it’s been a long dragging week. The weather here in my part of the world is unseasonably warm for November. I’m in shorts on my back porch, people! What is up with that?
This week’s FSF is…well…dark. Really dark. I’ve been reading some lovely happy stuff lately; and, well, thought I’d send you off into the weekend with something, erm…not so lovely or exactly happy stuff. It’s been a few months, so memories fade as to all the details–but I do remember freaking loving this, so I’m happy to recommend.
The Blurb:
AUTHOR’S NOTE: This book is intended for a mature audience only, due to some dark and erotic content.
Ignazio Vitale is not a good man.
I suspect it, the first time I see him, sense the air of danger that surrounds the man. He has a way of commanding attention, of taking control, of knowing what I’m thinking before I even do.
It’s alarming and alluring. It’s dark and deadly. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted but the last thing I truly need. Obsession.
It doesn’t take him long to draw me into his web, charming me into his bed and trapping me in his life, a life I know nothing about until it’s too late. He has secrets, secrets I can’t fathom, secrets that make it so I can’t walk away, no matter how much I beg him to let me go. I see it sometimes in his eyes, a darkness that’s both terrifying and thrilling. He’s a monster, wrapped up in a pretty package, and what I find when I unmask him changes everything.
I want to hate him.
Sometimes, I do.
But it doesn’t stop me from loving him, too.

The Review:
This! This is exactly my kind of book – ticking almost all of my checkboxes.
I’ll say I’m not much interested in teenaged heroines – but I could mostly forget it because she was intelligently written an the story had me hooked.
The writing style…gorgeous!
This is my second book by this author and I can honestly say I’m a fan. Onward to the next…
This review posted on GoodReads.
Additional notes since my original review was so short:
This book includes: An age gap between the heroine and the hero–who is a mafia/mobster badass and quite the sociopath, there are some abusive elements, and it’s downright twisted with the mind fucks.
****BONUS BECAUSE IT’S FRIDAY AND I’M FEELING GENEROUS****
I didn’t review book two…because I’m often very lazy. However, I read it and it was also a five-star read for me. So, without further ado…here are the details, minus review stuff because I don’t have that to give. This book is from his point of view and picks up where book one left off.
The Blurb:
Don’t say it unless you mean it…
It’s a simple concept, one I’ve said time and again, but something people don’t seem to comprehend. You should choose every syllable carefully, because you never know when somebody will hold you to your word.
Somebody like me.
I’m not a good man. I’m not. I know. I have enough darkness inside of me to rid the world of every stitch of light. But there’s one I could never harm, one light I couldn’t bring myself to snuff out.
Karissa.
She thinks I’m a monster, and maybe I am. I taunt her with my touch, get a thrill out of torturing her soul. But I’m not the only one. The world is full of monsters, and I’m not the most dangerous one out there.
Not even close…
God help me, I love her.
I do.
And God help anybody who tries to take her from me.

Just a word or two: Dude is no less a sociopath. And I read this in one sitting.
Happy reading and thanks for visiting!
